Covid-19 Update and Festival Event Info

Houston Jazz Festival will Stream Live from Miller Outdoor Theater

This year the Miller is taking all precautions and has postponed all live events with an audience, however there will be streaming events held at the theater with no audience on location. It will entirely depend on the event. The Houston Jazz Festival fortunately will be live streaming from the Theater with live performers who will be making the trip from New York and other locations for this special performance. Performers will be practicing social distancing as per the CDC guidelines.

Miller Outdoor Theater offers the most diverse season of professional entertainment of any Houston performance venue, and it’s all FREE! Classical music, jazz, world music and dance, ballet, Shakespeare, musical theatre, classic films, and much, much more are included in this year’s outstanding line-up. Relax in the covered seating area or enjoy a pre-performance picnic on the hillside. All performances at Miller are family-friendly!

11 Jul Covid-19 Update and Info on Reopening

“In accordance with the CDC’s and the County’s most recent guidelines, the Miller Theatre Advisory Board has made the difficult decision to cancel all performances through the end of September 2020.

We are striving to preserve as much of the 2020 season as possible with the hope of reopening in September. All scheduling is taking into consideration that we need to give our partnering organizations time to regroup, rehearse, and prepare to bring you the same spectacular performances Miller is known for.

When we can open, we will have all necessary required protocols in place to meet the guidelines that the city and state mandate.

This is done out of an abundance of caution and with the health a safety of the fans, attendees, and city in mind.

These decisions have not been easy and we are so grateful for your support during these difficult times.

We urge everyone to take precautions during the difficult times.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and we can’t wait to meet you on the Hill again!!”
